I found out about this site when working as a design assistant (hi Holly!) and have been in love ever since. They have painstakingly researched and reproduced fabrics as far back as 1775 and up to the 1950s. All their fabrics are cotton, and they specialize in cotton prints. They have organized it all by era, so it is very easy to find what you are looking for. And if you are doing a show, you just call and describe what you are looking for and they will create a swatch packet for you for - 12 for $12 or 25 for $25. The best part - if you buy from them they deduct the cost of the swatch packet from your order!
The quality is wonderful and the fabrics are beautiful. I have made numerous costumes using their fabric. Completely worth it if you are interested in authenticity.
